Nyebar MCP
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app to your Nyebar account: ask about sales, approve registrations, check people in, create vouchers, even draft events.
With Nyebar MCP, you can connect your Nyebar account to Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI apps connect to other services, used by Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and many more. Once connected, you just type a normal request in the chat, and the AI reads or manages your events on Nyebar.
No API key or technical skills needed: add the Nyebar server address in your AI app, then sign in with your Nyebar account as usual.
Things you can ask
- “How many Nusantara City Run tickets sold this week, and how many people have checked in?”
- “Who’s still waiting for approval? Approve the ones from the running club.”
- “Find the attendee named Rina and check her ticket in.”
- “Pause Early Bird ticket sales, we have enough.”
- “Create a voucher KOMUNITAS10, 10% off, valid until the end of the month, for 50 uses.”
- “Make a draft event from this brief, using the poster at this link.”
What it can do
View data (always allowed):
- The organizers and events you can access, with their details, dates and ticket types.
- Event summaries and stats: tickets sold, check-ins, page views and revenue.
- Orders, registrations waiting for approval, attendees and vouchers.
Make changes (if you allow it):
- Approve or reject registrations.
- Check attendees’ tickets in.
- Change a ticket type’s sales status (on sale, paused, hidden), quota and sale window on a live event.
- Create vouchers.
- Create draft events and add ticket types to drafts.
What an AI app can’t do: withdrawals, bank accounts, payments, refunds or cancelling orders, submitting events for review or publishing them, deleting events, changing the price or name of live tickets, and managing your team, crew, API keys and webhooks. All of these stay in the dashboard.
Who can use it
It’s for accounts with organizer access. The AI app has the same access as your account in the dashboard:
| Role | What it can do through AI |
|---|---|
| Owner and Admin | Everything in the list above, including revenue and draft events |
| Crew Manager | Only the events they manage: registrations, attendees, check-in, tickets and vouchers. No money figures and no new events |
| Crew Check-in | View attendees and check tickets in for their event |
Roles are explained in Managing your organizer team and Event crew.
Connecting an AI app
-
Open Integrations in the organizer dashboard. Under Nyebar MCP, copy the MCP server address:
https://mcp.nyebar.id. Crew members who don’t have the Integrations menu can find the same address in Settings, under Connected apps.Copy the MCP server address from the Integrations page. -
Add that address as a connector (MCP server) in your AI app. How to do it in each app is in the next section.
-
The AI app opens a Nyebar page. Sign in with your Nyebar account if you haven’t, then check the permission page:
- Make sure the destination (for example claude.ai or chatgpt.com) matches the app you’re connecting.
- Make sure the account under Signed in as is right. If needed, click Switch account.
- Leave Also make changes ticked if the AI may approve registrations, check people in or create vouchers. Untick it if the AI should only view data.
Check the app, the account and the permissions, then click Allow. -
Click Allow. You’re back in the AI app and can start asking.
How to add it in each app
Claude (claude.ai or the desktop app): open Settings → Customize → Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector, enter a name (for example Nyebar) and the URL https://mcp.nyebar.id, then click Connect on that connector. On Claude Team or Enterprise, connectors are added by the organization’s admin.
ChatGPT: open Plugins in the sidebar, click Add, then Add custom MCP server. Enter a name (for example Nyebar), choose Server URL and enter https://mcp.nyebar.id, choose OAuth authentication, tick I understand and want to continue, then save. ChatGPT opens the Nyebar sign-in page. In older versions of ChatGPT, this menu is under Settings → Apps & Connectors and needs Developer mode turned on first.
Claude Code: run this in your terminal, then type /mcp in Claude Code and choose nyebar to sign in:
claude mcp add --transport http nyebar https://mcp.nyebar.id
Other apps: any app that supports MCP over HTTP (Streamable HTTP) with OAuth works. Enter https://mcp.nyebar.id as the server address.
If you run more than one organizer, name the organizer in your request so the AI uses the right one.
Drafting events with AI
Send the AI an event brief, such as the title, description, dates, place and category, with a link to the poster. Keep in mind:
- The poster must be a public link to a JPG, PNG or WebP image of up to 5 MB. Google Drive links work if the file is shared with “Anyone with the link”. A poster that isn’t square gets a background to make it 1:1, with nothing cut off.
- The AI will ask who pays the platform fee (the organizer, the attendees, or split 50/50). Answer as you prefer.
- The result is always a draft that isn’t public. Open it in the dashboard, add the map pin and terms if needed, check the preview, then Submit for Review as usual. The Nyebar team reviews every event before it goes live.
- Ticket types can be added through AI while the event is a draft. Once it’s live, the AI can only change a ticket’s status, quota and sale window.
- An organizer can create up to 10 drafts through AI apps per day (WIB). If the AI sends the same request twice within 15 minutes, the draft it already made is used, so there are no duplicates.
Only owners and Admins can create draft events.
Privacy and security
- The data the AI asks for, including attendees’ names and emails, goes into the conversation in that AI app and is handled under that app’s privacy policy. Only ask for attendee data you need.
- AI apps usually ask you to confirm before changing anything. Read what it’s about to do before you approve.
- Attendees’ names and form answers are written by other people. If attendee data contains odd text that looks like an instruction to the AI, ignore it and don’t approve actions you didn’t ask for.
- Every change made through AI is recorded under your account, just like changes in the dashboard.
Disconnecting an app
Open Settings and go to Connected apps. You’ll see the connected apps, their access (View or View & change) and when they were last used. Click the Disconnect icon next to an app and confirm. The app loses access to your account right away.
All apps are also disconnected when you change or reset your password. To use one again, reconnect it from the AI app.
Troubleshooting
- The AI can’t find an event: your account may not have access to it, or you’re crew on another event. Ask “which events can I access?” first.
- The AI can’t approve registrations or create vouchers: your connection may be view-only. Disconnect the app in Settings, reconnect it and leave Also make changes ticked. Your role (for example Check-in crew) may also not allow it.
- The poster is refused: make sure the link goes straight to the image and opens without signing in. For Google Drive, set access to “Anyone with the link”.
- The permission page says the request is no longer valid: the page is valid for 10 minutes. Start connecting again from the AI app.
- The AI app asks you to sign in again: a connection that hasn’t been used for a long time, or that was disconnected, needs to be connected again. This also happens after a password change.
