Using a voucher code

How to use a discount code when booking tickets, and the rules for when a voucher applies.

Organizers can share voucher codes to give ticket discounts. This article explains how to use one at checkout and the rules that decide whether your code is accepted.

Using a voucher code

  1. Choose your tickets and click Continue — the discount code field only appears after your tickets are reserved.
  2. Enter the voucher code in the Discount Code field, then apply it.
  3. The discount is taken off the ticket subtotal right away and shows in the order summary.

If you change your mind, you can remove the voucher from the summary and continue without a discount. The voucher field only appears if your order is paid — free events have nothing to discount.

Voucher rules

  • The organizer decides the type of discount: a percentage off or a fixed amount.
  • The discount only applies to the ticket subtotal — add-on prices, the platform fee, and the payment fee aren’t discounted.
  • Vouchers have a validity period and a usage quota; outside their date range or once the quota runs out, the code will be rejected.
  • There’s no per-person usage limit — as long as there’s quota left, the same code can be used again on your next order.

Vouchers and the 15-minute reservation

A voucher you’ve applied successfully is “held” for as long as your ticket reservation lasts, so its quota is safe for you until checkout is done. On the other hand, if your reservation expires, the voucher hold is released too and another buyer can take it.
