Public profile and social media
Set up your username, bio, photo, and social media accounts, and understand what appears on your public profile page.
Every Nyebar account has a public profile page you can open through your username, for example nyebar.id/u/yourname. There, other people see a short snapshot of who you are — your name, photo, bio, and the social media links you add yourself.
Setting up your profile
- Sign in to your account, open Account Settings from the account menu, and find the Profile section.
- Fill in Username: lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens, 3–30 characters, and it must be unique. The indicator on the right shows whether the username is available. The arrow button at the end of the field opens your public profile page.
- Set your profile photo, Name, and Bio (up to 160 characters).
- In the Social Media section, add your Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter/X username — just the username, not the full link.
- Click Save Profile.
Every user automatically gets a username when they first create an account, and you can change it anytime as long as nobody else is using it.
What appears on your public profile
The nyebar.id/u/username page shows your photo, name, @username, bio, social media links, and the number of events you’ve attended. Names in an event’s attendee list also link to this public profile — click an attendee’s name to open it.
Mutual events
When you’re signed in and open another attendee’s profile, you’ll see a Mutual Events section — events that both you and that person attended. Only you can see this section while signed in, and it only shows events you both joined, not that person’s entire event history.
If you don’t want to appear in an event’s attendee list, set it up by following Managing your account privacy.
