# Creating a voucher

Create voucher codes for your event with a percentage or fixed-amount discount.

A voucher is a discount code you can share with attendees to drive ticket sales, for example for a community promo or an early bird offer. Each voucher applies to a specific event and has a discount type you can choose. This article explains how to create one.

## Creating a new voucher

1. Open the event you manage, then go to the **Vouchers** tab.
2. Click **Create Voucher**.
3. Fill in the **Voucher Code** attendees will enter at checkout.
4. Choose a **Discount Type**: **Percentage** (1–100%) or **Fixed Amount** (IDR).
5. Fill in the **Discount Value** for the type you chose.
6. Save. The voucher is ready to share for that event.

## Discount types: percentage vs fixed amount

- **Percentage** (1–100%) — the discount is calculated as a percentage of the purchase total. A good fit if you want the discount to scale with the order value.
- **Fixed Amount** (IDR) — the discount is a fixed amount taken off, no matter how much the attendee spends.

Once your voucher is created, you can set its usage limit and validity period.
