# Customizing your event page's look

Choosing your event page's theme color and background, including the Auto theme that takes its color from the poster.

Your event page can have its own color, to match your poster or your community's identity. You set the look in the **Settings** tab and can change it anytime, also once the event is live, without another review.

## Changing the look

1. Open the event in the dashboard, go to the **Settings** tab, and find the **Appearance** section.

2. Pick a **Theme**. The theme color is used for the **Get Tickets** button, the **Starting from** label on the price card, and the date and location icons.

3. Pick a **Background**: **Plain**, **Soft**, or **Poster**. The small picture on each option shows the result with your theme and poster.

Each choice is saved right away and you see **Appearance saved.** Your event page uses the new look at once.

## Theme choices

- **Nyebar**: Nyebar green. This is every event's default look, so your event stays like this until you pick another theme.
- **Auto**: the color comes from your poster's main color. If you change the poster, the color follows. A poster with almost no color (black and white or gray) keeps Nyebar green.
- **Ocean**, **Grape**, **Rose**, **Sunset**, **Teal**, and **Slate**: fixed colors prepared by Nyebar.

> Whatever theme you pick, the button color is made dark enough for the white text on it to stay clear.

## Background choices

- **Plain**: a white background.
- **Soft**: a faint tint of the theme color at the top of the page, fading to white.
- **Poster**: your poster, blurred and faded, behind the top of the page. It works best for posters with strong colors. For dark or mostly gray posters, **Soft** or **Plain** usually looks better.

## Good to know

- The look applies to the event page and its preview. Checkout, e-tickets, and emails keep Nyebar's style.
- Who can change the look: the owner, Admins, and crew with the **Manager** role.
- Once the event has finished, the look can't be changed anymore.
