Sometimes an event's details need adjusting, or the event may need to be deleted. This page explains what you can change and what happens when you delete an event.

## Editing an event

The **Edit Event** form can only be used while the event is still a **Draft** (or **Rejected** after review). While it's a Draft, you can change every detail freely.

1. Open the event you want to change from the **Events** menu.
2. Click **Edit Event** to open the event details form.
3. Edit the details you need, such as the title, description, location, or time.
4. Save your changes.

> **Main details are locked after publishing**
>
> Once the event is **Active** (published), main details like the title, poster, description, category, time, and location **can no longer be changed** through Edit Event. Make sure everything is final before you submit the event for review.

> **What you can still change once it's live**
>
> For a live event, you can still adjust **ticket types** in the **Tickets** tab: quota, sale schedule, sale status (pausing, resuming, or hiding tickets), adding new ticket types, and changing a ticket's price or type **as long as none have been sold or reserved**.

## Deleting an event

If an event isn't going ahead, you can delete it from the **Settings** tab with the **Delete Event** button. Deletion is a **soft delete**, so the data isn't permanently removed from the system.

> **Only Draft or Rejected events**
>
> Delete Event is only available for events with the **Draft** or **Rejected** status. Events that are already Active can't be deleted — contact the Nyebar team if the event has to be called off.

> **Check before deleting**
>
> Make sure no attendees or active transactions will be affected before you delete the event.
