Creating events is at the heart of what you do as an organizer. On the event creation page, you fill in all the basic details that potential attendees will see. Here's the complete guide.

## Filling in the basic details

Start with the core information that describes your event.

1. From the **Events** menu in the organizer dashboard, click the **Create Event** button.
2. Enter a clear, appealing **Event Title**.
3. Upload an **Event Cover Image** (poster) as the main visual for your event.
4. Choose the **Category** that best fits your type of event.
5. Write the **Event Description** so potential attendees understand what they're signing up for.
6. Fill in the event's **Terms and Conditions** if there are special rules for attendees.
7. Set the event's **Start Time** and **End Time**.
8. Under **Event Type**, choose **Offline** (fill in the Region, Venue Name, and Venue Address, and mark the spot on the map) or **Online** (you can leave the Meeting Link empty for now and set it later).
9. Choose the **Platform fee model** (who pays the platform fee).
10. Set any extra options if needed: **Private Event** and **Limit to one ticket type per registration**.
11. Save the event. It's saved with the **Draft** status.

> **Ticket types are created separately**
>
> Ticket types aren't filled in on this form. Once the event is created, open it and go to the **Tickets** tab to add ticket types. An event must have at least one ticket type before it can be submitted for review.

## Finishing up before publishing

Each part above has more detailed settings covered in separate articles:

- Location and time — set the offline/online details and the schedule.
- Description — write an engaging description, with help from the AI Enhancer feature.
- Ticket types — set up ticket prices and quotas in the **Tickets** tab.

> **Events start as a Draft**
>
> A newly created event has the **Draft** status and isn't visible to the public yet. You can edit it anytime before submitting it for review.

## Next steps

Once all the details are complete, submit the event for review so it can be published. While it's still a Draft, use the time to polish every part so your event looks its best.

> **Be as detailed as possible**
>
> Events with complete, clear information are more convincing to potential attendees and get through review faster.
