# Ad pixels (Meta & TikTok)

Add a Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel so your Instagram, Facebook and TikTok ads can measure visits and ticket purchases.

If you run Instagram, Facebook or TikTok ads for your event, a pixel lets the ads know who opened the event page and who went on to buy a ticket. That way you can measure your ads, show ads again to people who already saw the event, and help Meta or TikTok find similar buyers.

The pixel is set once at the organizer level and applies to all your events automatically. Only the owner and Admins can change it.

## Finding your pixel ID

- **Meta Pixel ID**: open Meta Events Manager, choose **Data sources**, and copy your dataset or pixel ID. It's 15 or 16 digits.
- **TikTok Pixel ID**: open TikTok Ads Manager, go to **Events Manager** → **Web**, and copy your pixel code. It's letters and digits, for example CN8H1M3C77U8U9KSE5UG.

## Adding a pixel

1. Open **Integrations** in the organizer dashboard.
2. **Ad pixels** is at the top. Click **Add** on Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel.
![The Ad pixels section with Meta Pixel active and an Add button on TikTok Pixel.](https://help.nyebar.id/screenshots/en/org-ad-pixels.webp "A pixel you've added is labeled Active.")
3. Paste your pixel ID and click **Save**.

4. The pixel is labeled **Active**. Repeat for the other pixel if you need it.

To change the ID, click the pencil icon (**Edit**) on that pixel's row. To stop using a pixel, click the bin icon (**Remove pixel**) and confirm with **Remove pixel**.

## What the pixel records

The pixel runs in the visitor's browser on your event, checkout and payment pages. It records:

| Moment | Meta | TikTok |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Event page opened | PageView, ViewContent | Page view, ViewContent |
| Tickets reserved at checkout | InitiateCheckout | InitiateCheckout |
| Order completed (free or paid) | Purchase, with its value in IDR | CompletePayment, with its value in IDR |

A purchase is recorded once per order, so opening the payment page again doesn't count twice. Buyers who buy through the [ticket widget](/en/organizer/integrations/ticket-widget) on your website are recorded too, since the checkout runs on Nyebar's pages.

> **Buyer data stays private**
>
> Buyers' names, emails and phone numbers are never sent to Meta or TikTok. The pixel also doesn't load in the dashboard, in event previews, or on other organizers' event pages.

## Checking the pixel works

Open one of your published event pages, then:

- **Meta**: install the **Meta Pixel Helper** Chrome extension, or open **Test events** in Events Manager. PageView and ViewContent will show up.
- **TikTok**: install **TikTok Pixel Helper**, or open **Test events** in TikTok's Events Manager.

> **Numbers can differ a little**
>
> Some purchases may not be recorded, for example when a buyer uses an ad blocker or closes the tab before the payment page opens. For exact sales numbers, use the event's **Overview** tab.
