# Check-in link for your team

Share a link so your check-in team can scan attendees' QR codes on event day without an account or dashboard access.

On event day, you usually need several people scanning tickets at the entrance, not just yourself. Instead of giving them full access to your dashboard, you can share a **check-in link**: a special link that opens a simple scanner page. Your team just opens it on their devices and starts scanning attendees' QR codes, no account needed.

## Creating and sharing the link

1. Open your organizer dashboard, choose the upcoming event, then go to the **Attendees** tab.
2. Click the **Check-in link** button (on mobile, it's below **Scan Ticket**). The link is created as soon as the window opens.
3. Click the copy icon to copy the link, then share it with your check-in team (for example, by message or in a group chat).
4. Your team just opens the link on their devices and allows camera access to start scanning.

## How your team scans

1. Once the link is open, the page shows the event name and the current attendance count.
2. Point the camera at the QR code on the attendee's ticket until it's read.
3. The scan result shows the full details: the attendee's name, ticket type, and other information — including their BIB number if your event uses them.
4. Move on to the next attendee. The attendance count is refreshed regularly across all devices.

If a ticket is scanned again, the page lets you know the attendee has already checked in, so double entry is still prevented.

## Refreshing or revoking access

The check-in link stays active until the event ends. You can manage it at any time from the same window:

- **Refresh link** — creates a new link, and the old one stops working immediately. Useful if the old link has ended up with people who shouldn't have it.
- **Revoke access** — turns off every check-in link for this event. Your team can't scan anymore until you create a new link.

> **Treat the link like a key**
>
> Anyone with the link can scan check-ins for this event, so only share it with team members you trust. Once the event is over, it's a good idea to **revoke access** so the link can't be used again.

> **Access is limited**
>
> The check-in link can only scan check-ins and show the details of each scanned ticket. It can't open the full attendee list, your finances, or any other event settings.

If an attendee's QR code can't be scanned, you can still mark them as present with a manual check-in from the dashboard.
