When event day arrives, you need to make sure only attendees with valid tickets get in. Nyebar has a QR scanner built right into your event dashboard, so check-in at the entrance is quick and orderly. Every attendee's ticket has a unique QR code that you just scan.

## Opening the QR scanner

1. Go to your organizer dashboard and choose the event that's taking place.
2. Open the **Attendees** tab, then click the **Scan Ticket** button to open the QR scanner.
3. Allow camera access on the device you're using so the scanner can start.

## Scanning attendees' tickets

1. Ask the attendee to show the QR code on their ticket, either on their phone screen or printed out.
2. Point the camera at the QR code until the scanner reads it.
3. Once it succeeds, the attendee's status changes to checked in right away and you can let them in.
4. Move on to the next attendee.

## When a ticket has already been scanned

Each ticket is valid for **one check-in only**. If a QR code is scanned again, the system tells you the ticket has already been used, so you can prevent double entry.

> **Bring in a few helpers**
>
> For long queues, you can have several people scanning at once. Share a **check-in link** so your team can scan from their own devices without needing an account.

> **Make sure your internet connection is stable**
>
> The scanner needs a connection to update attendee statuses in real time. Make sure your check-in spot has a decent signal.

If an attendee's QR code can't be scanned, you can still mark them as present with a manual check-in.
