# Fixing a wrong name or ticket details

What you can and can't do if there's a typo in your ticket details or you want to transfer a ticket to someone else.

Ticket holder details — name, email, and form answers — are locked as soon as the order is created. There's no way to change a name, edit an email, or transfer a ticket to someone else. This article explains what you can still do when something's wrong.

## A typo in the holder's name

The name on an e-ticket can't be changed, but that doesn't mean your ticket is void. Whether to admit an attendee whose details don't match exactly is up to the organizer at check-in — and a small typo usually isn't a problem.

1. Contact the organizer with the **Contact Organizer** button on the event page.
2. Explain the mistake and include your order code and the ticket code in question.
3. Keep the organizer's reply as proof, and show it if staff ask on event day.

## A wrong holder email

If the email is wrong, that attendee's e-ticket goes astray — but as the buyer, you can still open every ticket in your order through the order page (using your order code). Open the ticket from there, download its PDF, and forward it manually to the right holder.

## Transferring a ticket to someone else

Ticket transfers aren't available yet, and the name on a ticket can't be changed. Technically, the QR still works for whoever has it, but if the organizer checks IDs at check-in, the new holder could be turned away. Ask the organizer first whether they allow entry with a ticket in someone else's name — don't buy tickets from strangers assuming it'll be fine.

> Double-check every name and email at the attendee details step before you continue checkout. A minute of checking costs far less than emailing back and forth right before the event.
