# Creating an account and signing in

How to sign up and sign in to Nyebar with your email or Google account, plus the security rules to know.

A Nyebar account makes buying tickets smoother: checkout without OTP verification, and all your orders in one place on the My Orders page. You can sign up with just your email or your Google account.

## Signing up and signing in with email

1. Open the sign-in page and type your email address.
2. New email: enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your email, then fill in your name and create a password (at least 6 characters).
3. Email that's already registered: just enter your password.

The verification code is valid for 5 minutes, and you can request a new one at most once every 2 minutes. Once you sign in, your session lasts up to 7 days before you need to sign in again.

## Signing in with Google

Click **Continue with Google** on the sign-in page and choose your Google account — no password needed. A Google account with the same email as a regular email account is recognized as the same account.

> Bought tickets as a guest before? All orders made with the same email are automatically linked to your new account and show up in My Orders right away — nothing to claim manually.

## Security rules to know

- Entering the wrong password 5 times in a row locks your account for 15 minutes.
- Forgot your password? Use the OTP recovery flow — see [Resetting and changing your password](/en/attendee/account-and-security/resetting-and-changing-your-password).

> **Profiles are still simple**

> For now, account settings are limited to your password and attendee list privacy — you can't change your name, photo, or phone number yet. Make sure the name you enter when signing up is the one you want to use.
